!!!!Read this before booking!!!! The hotel was tidy and pleasant, and most of the staff were polite. But my husband and I had a terrible experience when we arrived at 6 am, exhausted from our flight. The receptionist Cesar frowned as he greeted us and said the room was ready but early check-in would cost extra. I agreed, then asked the price. He said he had no idea and asked why I expected him to know. I politely said I wouldn’t check in early without knowing the cost. Cesar stood up and started yelling aggressively in my face, as if he might hit me. My husband stepped in and asked that we speak respectfully, like adults. When we asked if we could leave our luggage at reception, Cesar said, “Sure, I guess.” Later, other staff told us there was a common area on the third floor where early arrivals could rest. It would have been great if Cesar had told us that. We were greeted badly, I’m a young woman and was yelled at, and we weren’t offered any option besides paying an unknown amount for early check-in. I travel a lot for work and pleasure and have never been treated so poorly. We spent the whole first day in a bad mood and had to chase people around for compensation. They only reimbursed half of the early check-in, which was 30 or 40 dollars. I wouldn’t stay here again after this, and the compensation was terrible and took time and effort to get. Without that encounter, I’d call it a decent place, though definitely not worth the money. To the owner: customer service is a huge part of the experience, as you must know. You should train people like Cesar on how to welcome and treat guests. Two friends were going to book with you in April, but after hearing this they chose Bombinas Blue. Also, my 350 dollar sunglasses were stolen on the beach that belongs to the hotel. They were on the table, and only guests and staff were around.
