We made an overnight stop at Pousada Barra Bonita on the way to Pipa, and it suited us well. We got in around 9 pm, when everywhere else nearby was closed, so being able to order pizza at the pousada was a real help after the drive. The rooms are simple and comfortable, and we slept well. It's easy to reach and close to the beach. Breakfast was put together with care, and the staff were kind. Barra de São Miguel is a lovely place to pause on the road. The beaches are huge and beautiful, so long you could nearly lose your way on them 😄. I'd recommend this welcoming, genuine pousada as a stop on the way to Pipa or Fortaleza.

I booked through Booking expecting breakfast, only to find that it wasn't offered. Bonito also feels unhealthy for tourists, with outrageous prices and a ridiculous daily fee of R$ 15,00 per person. Bodoquena is much better!

Breakfast was served early, with hot options. From check-in through departure, everyone was friendly and kept checking that everything was all right. I was traveling alone as a woman and felt well looked after. If I return to Bonito, I'll stay there again.
