Hotel Grand Bittar

The front desk staff were extremely rude, and when we asked for a refund after checking out a day early, they dismissed us. We left because of the terrible service. The restaurant dishes had lipstick marks and were generally unsanitary. Our first room was dirty, and when we were moved because there was no one available to clean it, the next room was dirty too. The bed sheets were cleaner, but there was hair and pubic hair everywhere. We gave up, cleaned it ourselves, and aired the room out. Don't go there, you'll be sorely disappointed.

For a five-star hotel, the breakfast was disappointing, and the Wi-Fi costs extra. Our room's carpet also had a really strong smell. It felt like a five-star place without much personality.

During the FIFA World Cup, the price was ridiculous. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is okay, and the staff are helpful, though not especially friendly. But this doesn't feel like a five-star hotel, more like a three-star one. Wi-Fi costs extra for each phone or computer!

This hotel is really worn and dated. The wood finish is peeling, there's mildew in the bathroom, the floor is buckling, and some electrical outlets are missing their covers. You'll have to wait for hot water in the shower, and it doesn't stay hot for long.
