We only agreed to stay because we were exhausted after a day at work, there was nowhere else available nearby, and the location and photos had made it look like a good deal. We had booked two rooms through booking. The place was extremely small, there were no windows like the photos showed, the tap only trickled, and the hygiene seemed questionable. The worst part was being blamed for the lack of sound insulation. We kept getting repeated, over-the-top demands for absolute silence, even being told to walk on tiptoe at a time when people hadn't even had dinner yet. The guest is also asked to take the leftover soap along. I don't recommend it.

The host was attentive and even gave me a late checkout since my flight wasn't until the afternoon. The place was clean and quiet, the internet was fast, and there was a kitchen I could use. Great value for money.

I booked through booking and got confirmation. On May 4, the pousada sent me a message through booking asking me to get in touch. I was traveling without cell service. When I got back on the evening of the 6th, I tried calling, but nobody answered. I called at 21:06, but Sr. Luciano didn't pick up. He messaged me saying to contact him the next day. At 8:10 the next morning, Sr. Luciano asked me on WhatsApp to confirm the booking. I confirmed at 09:29. At 10:14, they messaged asking me to cancel because they were overbooked, saying other people had paid first. But they had never asked me for advance payment. They said my phone had gone to voicemail, though there was no message. My phone was out of service, but I had internet and WhatsApp active for any payment requests. I said I could send a pix if payment was the issue, and would cancel only if they found me similar accommodation in the same neighborhood and price range. Sr. Luciano said he wasn't a travel agency and had no obligation to find another pousada for me. He claimed there were plenty of places to stay in Brasília. That was a big lie: with the Andrea Bocelli concert, accommodation prices had gone through the roof. DON'T EVER BOOK AT POUSADA 714. THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY OR HONEST WITH CUSTOMERS.

A quiet, comfortable, clean place to stay. Just perfect.
