There’s no reception on site at any time, though they do answer the phone number listed on the website. At check-in you’re given a set of keys that opens all the doors. The breakfast is good, but they don’t replenish it, so if you arrive 40 minutes after it starts, you’ll be eating what’s left. The location is excellent, and the showers, bedding, and cleanliness were all impeccable.

The shared rooms are something to keep in mind, since staying in a hostel means being considerate of the other guests. That said, Hostel Parque dos Saltos worked well for what I needed: somewhere cheap, practical, and well located. It was recommended to me by a few tour agencies, too. The place was clean, and breakfast had fruit, bread, cold cuts, cookies, juice, and coffee.

You can hear the water flowing from right beside Parque dos Saltos when you go to sleep, and the spot is fantastic. The hostel itself is cozy, clean, and well organized. Rafael and Miriam looked after me really well. I already know where I’ll stay when I come back.

The river’s soft sound is there as you fall asleep, and the location is great. The place has a lovely energy, with clean, organized rooms and good accommodations. Rafael and Mirian were so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They’re happy to share tips on what to do around the area, and can even put together a tour package for your group if needed. Great value for the money, I’d definitely recommend it!
