The kindness of the hosts at Pousada Sabiá stayed with me. When I mentioned that I’m allergic to insects, they thoughtfully offered me an allergy medicine, which meant a lot. I was in Brotas for a trail race and got bitten several times during the course, as can happen on that kind of route. I hadn’t taken all my usual precautions, but I felt reassured by the care they had already shown me. From arrival on, the place felt welcoming, and the hosts were warm, polite, and helpful, with attention that went beyond what I expected. That small gesture said a lot about how much they care about other people’s well-being. I’d happily recommend it and would definitely return.

We had a great time trying the different activities, including fishing, the pool, billiards, and even bingo 🥰. It’s a lovely place to unwind. Ana and everyone else welcomed us so warmly.

If you love being around nature, you’ll enjoy waking up to the birds here. The people at the pousada were attentive and friendly, and I highly recommend it.
