Pousada Casa da Moeda

We had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back. The heated pool really was nice and warm, and the neat little chalets were comfortable with a rustic feel. Breakfast was tasty, and the service was great. The staff were especially polite and helpful.

The inn didn't feel worth the price. The facilities are dated, and our room smelled musty. There was no air conditioning, and the noisy ceiling fan made it hard to rest. The only mirror was a small one in the bathroom, just big enough for your face. The old TV had to be switched on manually and kept freezing during shows. Breakfast was basic, with little variety. The power went out during our stay, and there's no generator. The sauna was broken and out of order. I won't mention the mosquitoes, since some people like them.

There wasn't much to do at the inn for the price, and I thought it was expensive. On WhatsApp they said there were three pools, but one is for children and wasn't working when I visited. The heated pool only gets turned on at dusk, close to nighttime. The place could be tidier, too. At weekends, Marcelo is the only person serving guests, though he's a nice guy.

A great rustic inn for anyone who likes being out in the woods. Prices are good, and the staff were polite and helpful. Marcelo looked after us really well. I'll definitely come back.
