The house is part of the experience here, so don’t expect full hotel service. Bring your own soap and shampoo, and keep in mind your room is inside the host’s home. Janete is a kind host, and her wonderful breakfast comes with a lovely view from the back of the house. She also suggests good dinner spots, and Inhotim is walkable if you’re up for it.

The woman who welcomed us was really friendly, but the room itself was in very poor shape. It seemed not to have been cleaned before we arrived: the bathroom was dirty, there was a leak, and the bedding smelled musty. Not a good stay.

The room got quite stuffy during our stay because there wasn’t a fan. Otherwise, it’s a cozy place, the staff are very attentive, and breakfast was delicious.
