Pousada Rancho Flores

I loved the place, and the owner was really pleasant. It’s welcoming, with wonderful people, and the food is delicious, though portions were a bit limited. There wasn’t enough for seconds at some points because the food had already run out. We also felt the dog and little horse weren’t being cared for well. Both were very dirty, had bugs, and seemed neglected. Even with those things that could be improved, it’s one of the best places I’ve been to, and well worth a visit.

After lots of searching for somewhere my family and I could relax and break from our routine, I was taken with the photos and all the positive reviews. My husband, children, and I had a lovely welcome from Rosana and Jorge, and the whole team was great. The inn brought back a lot of good memories. The breakfast was wonderful and varied, and lunch tasted like mom’s cooking. The rooms were so cozy, and the place was kept spotlessly clean. If we’re talking about wonderful places, we’d include pousada flores. We definitely plan to come back soon.

The thoughtful little touches and charming decor made the stay feel special, and the owner and staff were so kind. I loved the comfort and hospitality at the Pousada. Already missing it, and would recommend it from the heart ❤️

There’s no nearby shop or business, so make the most of the peace and quiet here. You hear birds all day, there are hammocks and a pool, and a small but lovely waterfall about a kilometer’s walk away. We visited in September 2025, and the weather was pleasant then. The house feels lived in, with plenty of activity, culture, history, and a real sense of togetherness. Rosana and her team were wonderful, and the traditional Minas Gerais food made for a lovely chance to chat over the table. The decor comes from past generations and gives the place a rustic, almost century-old feel, though the house was built less than 30 years ago and has been welcoming tourists for seven years. I’d worried about mold, but there wasn’t any. Such a lovely experience.
