Hostel FreeDive Inn

From my balcony breakfast to the deep conversations with Miguel, I really enjoyed my stay. The room was big, the bed comfortable, and the location right in the center, close to everything. I would’ve loved to stay longer just to learn more from Miguel. Thank you!

This place barely deserves to be called a hostel. You get in through a dirty alley and up filthy stairs, where residents and visitors even leave spoiled food. Our room had no ventilation at all, and I won’t even get into the state of the inside, like the kitchen. Whatever you do, don’t drink from the plastic water filter. Two friends drank it and were sick for days. The Argentine family seemed to be treating their stay like an anthropological vacation instead of managing a place for tourists. I hope they improve things.

There’s not much nature around the hostel since it’s among houses in the center, but it’s very quiet and well located. I liked the terrace, which is a nice place to eat at the table or unwind in a hammock. The beds are comfortable, the rooms have fans, and the kitchen is large and well equipped. The bathroom was clean.

The entrance through the alley might feel a little odd at first, but once you’re inside, it feels like home. I was welcomed warmly, and the hostel is really well located. The beds and pillows are comfortable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and easygoing. I already miss the place and will be back soon.
