Morro Apartments

Horrible! We booked the quad room for three nights in January 2025 for a couple and our two daughters. We left after just two nights and got no refund. The room was so tiny and had no windows. There was only one stool for a suitcase, leaving the other three people's backpacks on the floor. There wasn't even enough space to stand. The toilet clogged on the first day, then overflowed and couldn't be used on the second. The bedding, towels, and mattress were old and worn. We moved to another hotel and weren't reimbursed at all. Don't book a room for four people here.

The inn is right across from the third beach, but the pretty Booking.com photos are misleading. Arriving felt like walking into a horror movie. The receptionist seemed half asleep and was rude and lazy with us. Our room was awful: damp stains on the walls, dark, no TV, and a tiny bathroom. The window view was terrible, nothing like the sea view shown in the ad. I made the mistake of booking directly with the owner, Marcelo, so I had no booking site to turn to for a refund. I walked in and left right away for another inn. I lost the R$1,200 I had paid. I asked Marcelo to return at least half, but he refused. He only said he was sorry and offered another room that was identical to the one I'd left. I feel cheated and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The room didn't match the photos. Mine had no window, and when the sliding door was shut, a gap about a finger wide remained. The bedding was torn. I got only one old, dirty bath towel, no face towel. The rusty minibar was covered with a threadbare bath towel, and there was hair inside it. There was no shower enclosure or even a curtain. The single beds were narrow, like extra beds. The only thing to put belongings on was a broken plastic stool, and the sink had no counter. Toilet paper was stuck to the ceiling. The whole place was very dirty. I took photos of it all and left the next day for another inn.

The view is worth millions: open the room window or go down the inn's stairs, and you're facing the sea. Shops, a bakery, pharmacy, and restaurants are all nearby too. The price matches what's offered, and Rose did a really thorough job cleaning. She's lovely and very attentive. The air conditioning was wonderful. I stayed eleven days, would recommend the place, and I'll be back!
