Pousada Bahia Tambor

The breakfast was the worst part for me. It was among the worst hotel breakfasts I’ve had, with average-tasting food and ingredients that seemed cheap. It was just okay, especially disappointing in such a beautiful setting. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of everything and only a few meters from the beach. The rooftop pool looks just like the pictures, or even better. It’s for relaxing more than swimming, and drinks can be served right to the pool. Service was generally very good, but one staff member was running between the kitchen, beach, and pool bar. Having another person there would make service much more efficient. The rooms were nice and clean, though ours developed an unpleasant sewage-like smell towards the end of the stay. The reception area felt like another letdown, small and cheap-looking, so the first impression was average. One staff member was juggling several jobs, which affected check-in and service overall. Management didn’t seem to prioritize the guest experience enough. Pousada Bahia Tambor has a fantastic location and setting, but staffing, room upkeep, and breakfast quality made a noticeable difference. These issues seem easy to fix, and addressing them could improve the experience a lot.

Sara especially impressed us. Her English is perfect, and she was so helpful. Everyone was fabulous, and the service was great. The rooms are big and nice, the location is perfect, and the pool has an amazing view.

Service was okay. The location is amazing, right on the beach, and the rooms are new, clean, big, and well designed. Just avoid a ground-floor room, it’s extremely noisy. The pool was like a kindergarten, with everyone playing their own music, so relaxing there was impossible.

The rooms are adequate, about four-star level, and the location is top-tier, right in front of the 2nd beach. Check-in could be much better. The process was long, convoluted, and unnecessarily complicated, with lots of repeated information. After getting through it, though, you can ignore most of the suggestions and enjoy the property and the beach :)
