Really good.

The shower isn't the best, though the water temperature is good. Breakfast is simple but tasty, and the air conditioning works. It's a pleasant place in a good location near the square, with spots to eat and have fun.

Breakfast is great. I just missed having lunch and dinner there too, because with breakfast that good, those meals would be amazing.

We booked a week, from 27/12/24 to 03/01/25, and the bad experience started on the first day. There was no hot water in the shower. When I complained at reception, a man who seemed to be the owner replaced the heating element, then said it was our fault for burning it out by leaving it on the medium setting. The shower was awful, with a very weak flow, and the control was wrapped in electrical tape to prevent shocks, though shocks still happened. We later noticed water coming through the bathroom ceiling whenever the room above us showered. Our room was dirty, the curtains were moldy, there was mold on the floor, and the curtain rod was broken. Everything seemed like a shoddy makeshift fix. At breakfast, flies hovered around the food, which was covered with a plastic lid, and on some days we noticed spoiled savory snacks being served. One day the power went out in our room. We were told one phase of the electricity had gone down, but there was nobody at the inn that night and no number that answered when we tried to ask for information. We went looking for an electrical panel or a breaker that might have tripped, and instead found several alarming things: improvised wiring, exposed pipes and a water tank, with insects all around them, including cockroaches. Our window faced a hallway that I believe was used to store old junk. It was full of bugs, so sleeping with the window open wasn't possible. When I went to settle the remaining bill on our departure day, the man, the owner, questioned why I had waited until the last minute to pay. I had tried to pay at check-in, but they asked me to pay only at checkout. His wife was very polite, as were the other employees. My problem is only with the man and the inn's facilities. The location is good, right in the center of boipeba, but I wouldn't return or recommend it.
