The room was comfortable, and the value for money was really good. It was only a two-minute walk from the room to the sea. Tasty breakfast, too, and a very pleasant atmosphere. It met my expectations.

We paid 250 per night for two people and felt it was well worth it. The room was roomy, with a double bed, fan, air conditioning, a large window, a balcony, plus a shelf and hangers for our things. There was no minibar, and the bathroom was outside the room, though it was private for our use and didn’t bother us. We could get everywhere on foot, so we didn’t need to hire someone to carry our bags. The location on Barra beach is excellent, close to the Boipeba arrival dock and less than 100 meters from where the tours leave. Javier, the owner, is a very kind Argentine and is always happy to offer tips on trails, outings, and restaurants. The inn has a charming Greek feel, with wooden architecture and white-painted walls. Breakfast is simple and tasty, with bread, homemade jams, fresh juice, coffee, milk, scrambled eggs, couscous, and seasonal fruit.

The setting is more enjoyable than the rooms, with a pleasant inner courtyard and view. The inn itself feels quite rustic and overdue for renovation: the paint is peeling, and the taps and bathroom fittings are old. Its location is a real plus, excellent for the beach and also near the town center. For breakfast, there was a small triangle of watermelon, four or five banana slices, a slice of pineapple, and a little mango. You can choose scrambled eggs or toast, and there are two small pieces of pudding, coffee or coffee with milk, and juice. A suggestion for the owner: please ask whether guests want salt in their eggs. Mine tasted too salty to me. The accommodation is okay for a single night, but I wouldn’t stay longer. The air conditioning in my friends’ room wasn’t working. The furniture consisted of two short shelves, which weren’t enough for my partner and me to store our clothes, so he put his away and I had to leave mine out. The toilet was partly clogged, and when it flushed, the sound carried into another room, and vice versa.

The value for the money was good, and the breakfast was very nice. It’s a simple place with basic comforts, and the service was easily the best part. One suggestion for the owner: some extra hooks, hangers, or chairs in the bedroom and bathroom would help. I recommend it.
