Pousada Passárgada

The staff made us feel at home throughout our stay, always kind, smiling, and ready to help. My Irish partner especially loved their warmth. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable, with a cozy room and peaceful surroundings that made it easy to relax on the island. It was my first visit to Morro de São Paulo, and the experience was unforgettable. We’re already talking about returning. If you want charm, welcoming service, and the magic of Morro, this place has it.

One useful thing if you're arriving with bags: this pousada is among the closest in the city to the arrival dock, which matters in a car-free place. I’d stay again. Service was very attentive, and the pool, restaurant, and some rooms have what might be the island’s best views. The restaurant draws people from all over the island, and breakfast, which was included during our stay, was good too.

The restaurant was a real highlight. They had local pastries and could make whatever kind of eggs you wanted, though it was a lot for one person. I somehow finished it all because it was so tasty. Dinner’s prawn pasta was amazing too. The staff were friendly and well trained, which made the stay feel complete. The lobby and pool are beautiful, and the view is breathtaking all day and night. After a long drive and a short speedboat ride, being just a few minutes’ walk from the port was a bonus. One of the best pousadas I’ve stayed in Morro de Sao Paulo, and I’d happily come back. Six stars.

The rooms are really clean and nicely decorated, and the wifi was quite decent. I didn’t get the best room, but with some luck you could have an amazing view. Breakfast was good. It’s very close to both the ferry terminal and the city center.
