Terra Bella Pousada

I was unsure at first about staying off the main street, but the area turned out to be very peaceful, felt safe, and was easy to get around. It seemed especially reassuring for women, and seeing children playing alone in the street made the neighborhood feel family friendly and welcoming. A convenience store is just a few meters behind the inn, and the main street, beach, town center, and restaurants are all easy to reach. The room was new, very clean, and smelled lovely. The fresh linens and towels were well cared for, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. You could tell someone had paid attention to the details. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. A really great experience, and well worth a visit.

The breakfast was a highlight: fresh and varied, with plenty of fruit, breads, cakes, savory snacks, juices, desserts, and omelets or tapiocas made to order. Everyone working at the inn was friendly and helpful. I loved staying at Terra Bella and visiting Morro de São Paulo, which is indescribably wonderful. I'd like to come back soon. We stayed as a couple on vacation from 12/10 to 17/10. The booking contact was helpful from the start and answered my questions. The location worked well for being near good restaurants and beaches while still having quiet nights. Room 14 had a comfortable double bed, several pillows, a comforter, and a single bed too. There was decent space, blackout curtains on the door, a minibar, quiet and powerful air conditioning, a hair dryer, and shelves for clothes. We missed having somewhere to hang clothes on hangers, but it wasn't a big problem since an iron was provided whenever we asked. There are no windows, though the bathroom has ventilation that runs when the light is on. The property felt pleasant, new, and clean. The pool and landscaping were well cared for, and pool towels were available. Water and soft drinks were for sale at reception. There was a reading spot on the first floor, reached by two flights of stairs. Rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily, which suited our needs. The room's freshener smelled lovely, and I was also pleasantly surprised to find liquid soap by the sink and shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. One suggestion: a small air freshener in the bathroom might help, since ventilation works but is slow. Hangers would also be useful.

The room was very small, with a tiny window that made it hard to organize our luggage, and for the price I expected more comfort. So I didn't feel the accommodation was worth the money. On the plus side, Terra Bella Pousada is in a great spot on Terceira Praia, the facilities seem new, there's a good pool, and the staff are generally very polite.

The room felt cramped, and breakfast was just reasonable. The reception staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Rosa and the other women looking after breakfast were wonderful.
