The homemade breakfast was delicious, and the staff were lovely. We spent four nights in the cute bungalow right on the beach, a 10-minute walk from the village. It was a perfect base for walks along the beaches and into the village. We loved our stay and would’ve happily stayed longer. Obrigada!

Right on the beach, Villa da Barca was a perfect place for us to relax. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

The photos of Vila da Barca are lovely and accurate, and it really is a wonderful place to stay right by the sand. Our room was charming, rustic, spacious, and old, just the way I like it. The bathroom was huge with a good shower, and the little balcony overlooking the forest was very private. We were on the first floor, though the stairs felt a bit dangerous. The old wooden doors and windows are beautiful, and I hope they keep them painted and cared for instead of replacing them. The room does need some maintenance, for example, the bathroom sink was wobbly. A cheap clothesline on the balcony would also be handy for wet beach clothes. The owners are wonderful. Janice makes what I think is the best casquinha de siri on the planet, enough for a full meal. Pedro runs a charming drinks and snacks bar just outside the beach entrance. It belongs to the inn, and he’s lovely and incredibly kind. The music there is MPB at a considerate volume, no loud electronic beats. Vila da Barca is full until April, and since we’re here in January, 26, we’ll obviously be back. Congratulations, Denis and wife. Long life to Vila da Barca.

The inn is right on the sand, with an incredible setting and a lovely, friendly team. Breakfast had lots of treats. Everything was perfect.
