This was the worst pousada we’ve stayed in anywhere in Brazil. They didn’t even empty the room’s trash. The air conditioner leaked onto the bed because its filter hadn’t been changed, and a technician had to come in the middle of the night to fix it. The pool was barely usable, breakfast was awful, and the price was far too high. The rooms are tiny, so you can’t even open a suitcase on the floor. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned once, and the shower water takes forever to come out. The whole place is completely neglected. Such a shame!

A terrible experience. I booked through booking, but when I arrived there was no room available. They made no effort to help and sent us away. I called booking, and they arranged a new reservation and gave me a voucher to use toward my next booking.

There’s nothing wrong with the pousada itself, but like the others in Barra Grande, it suffers from neglect by Equatorial and the City Hall/government. Jericoacoara also has power outages during peak season, which is completely absurd for tourist areas. It’s not as if these places are a surprise to anyone.
