My wife and I ended up being really impressed with how comfortable the stay was, even though I wasn't happy to see negative hotel reviews before we arrived. Check-in was very quick. I was carrying a child and used the priority line, but at 14:30 on 23/03 the regular line wasn't busy either. Our room on the 9th floor smelled pleasantly clean when we walked in. The towels and bedding were clean too. It was spacious, with a large bed and a big sofa bed in the living room, plus a table with two chairs and a small table with a comfortable armchair. The kitchen had no pots, cutlery, or other utensils, but that wasn't an issue since I hadn't planned to cook. There was plenty to do downstairs, including pools for all ages, a gym, a playroom, an ofuro, a sauna, and a game room. We also had access to four water parks. We only got to three, and it was a very good experience. We booked half board, which meant dinner only. Dinner was served at the hotel next door and had lots of choices, including salads, proteins, desserts, drinks, and pasta made to order with toppings of your choice. Breakfast was served at our hotel and had an excellent selection, with omelets and tapioca made fresh as well. We were told in advance that dinner would be at the neighboring hotel. Thanks to all the hotel and restaurant staff for their exceptional courtesy. Special thanks to Natalia at the hotel reception, who answered all my questions simply and effectively. It was our first time in Caldas Novas, and this is a trip I'll always remember.
