They arranged guides for a canyon tour, and today's naturalist guide, Micheal, shared his love and knowledge of the Canyons with the help of an outstanding translator, Bento. I highly recommend having them as your guides. The staff took such good care of me. They went out of their way to help, including arranging a massage in Cambara and offering to drive me to and from the appointment when it was raining. Julia and some of the other staff also took time to talk with me using a translator app.

The surroundings are beautiful, and that's about the only good thing I can say. I wouldn't return. The hotel’s 4.7 rating seems a bit overstated to me. The bed was extremely hard. At reception they said it was “American standard,” but I've traveled in the U.S. several times and never slept on a mattress this uncomfortable. There was a dog lying in the hall that tried to bite guests when petted. I pulled my hand back quickly, but what if a child couldn't do that in time? An animal that reacts this way shouldn't be treated as docile in a public area. There were other, gentler dogs, but this one should have been kept away. The receptionist's explanation was that “he gets scared easily and reacts badly.” We also bought an ATV package after being promised a route with mud and sand, as shown in the photos. What we got was a sleepy ride on a rocky road, with 4x2 cars speeding past and pushing the ATV to the side. They said the route had changed and they hadn't been told.
