I was told to shower at a public fountain in the middle of the square after the water ran out at the hostel. Easily the worst hostel experience I’ve had.

There’s a unique sense of peace and community here. If you’re after luxury or attached to material things, you’d be better off somewhere else. Sending lots of light to the team!

I brought 36 people with me and we booked this place, if you can call it a hostel. We hated everything, from the service to the terrible facilities.

I stay here whenever I visit Paraty because the location is so good and the price is very affordable. The service can be disappointing at times, but it’s still an experience worth having.

A very poor hostel, with terrible facilities even by hostel standards. They also refused to provide an invoice.
