Garden Hotel

The gardens were my favorite, with birds chirping all day and a lovely view of the pool. It’s a huge hotel that can host conventions, with tennis courts and football fields, indoor heated pools, and a fabulous outdoor pool where you can sit in the water with a drink. The rooms are large and functional. Breakfast is a buffet with plenty of fruit, cheese, bread, cakes, eggs, and tapioca. The architecture is interesting, from the huge spiral staircase to the slanted roofs over reception and the restaurant. Parts of the property feel a little old, but they’re repainting and renovating here and there, which shows they take it seriously. It’s a lovely place for flexible travelers, though not for snooty folks.

The daily breakfast was superb, and management and staff were excellent. Once all the renovations are finished, this could be one of the finest destinations in all of northeast Brazil.

It’s a resort-sized hotel in a very good location, with a solid setup that includes a restaurant, pools, a gym, and small craft shops. Service was great, and the value for money was excellent. A few things do need repairs.

Breakfast, the reception staff, and the location were superb. The hotel is really good, though the air conditioner and phone have some issues, and the heated pool is under maintenance.
