Casa do Professor Visitante Unicamp

The staff were really friendly and even helped me order a pizza and have it sent up to my room. The place felt very safe with security around the clock, and my room was cozy and clean. The air conditioning was nice and refreshing on a cool day. The restaurant is a little pricey, but the food is good and there's plenty to choose from at breakfast. I had a very good stay.

The Brazilian friendliness here makes getting academic work done a pleasure. I always enjoy staying at the Visiting Professors' House. The facilities are enviable, and professors from important universities in Europe admire them too, since they say there's nothing similar where they come from.

A good choice when you're visiting the University of Campinas, with friendly staff who speak English to help tourists. There's a big, lovely pool, a barbecue area, conference facilities, and a reading room with computers. Just outside the hotel there's a park with outdoor gym equipment. Rooms come with a TV, air conditioning, study table, safe, hairdryer, towels, shampoo, soap, and a minibar stocked with drinks and snacks. The restaurant serves a clean buffet with some variety, though I didn't find the food very tasty. There are better food options at restaurants on campus and in town.

There's a new block with brand new rooms, and the hotel also has a restaurant where you can get a nice meal. That makes staying during your time at Unicamp easier. It's the best place to stay if you need to be in Barão Geraldo or at Unicamp. Prices aren't cheap, but they're no higher than the other nearby options.
