Hospedagem UniCanto

Unicanto is a simple, very clean, well-organized place that works well for a short stay of a few days or a medium one of a few months. It’s ideal for people studying, attending conferences or projects, or working in Barão Geraldo, and it’s great if you’re just passing through. I’d recommend staying at Unicanto. For longer visits, a working washing machine would be essential. It would also be nice to have a shared living room and make more use of the outdoor space so guests could relax there.

This is a family-run lodging, as its name suggests, so don’t expect a hotel. The owners welcomed me right away and gave me a detailed introduction to the house, how things work, and where everything is. The family atmosphere carries through the stay. My room was well equipped, the kitchen was complete, and the private bathroom was huge. It’s also very close to UNICAMP. Excellent value for money!

The owner of the guesthouse could sometimes be inappropriate in her comments and behavior. My friend and I stayed at the pensionato, one of the houses near the main inn, while attending a conference at Unicamp. It’s a great option for a few days of university activities, and breakfast is served at the inn until 9 a.m. The rooms are very basic: ours didn’t even have a minibar or TV, though it did have an en-suite bathroom. Cleanliness and security were reasonable.

The location and neighborhood are great, and the house is spacious and tidy. Camila is always available if anything comes up. There’s a really cozy backyard, and the kitchen is well equipped for anyone who likes to cook. One of my best stays! And Bob is a very sweet little cat. I recommend it!
