Hotel São João

The price is great. The room is small, but if you just need somewhere quiet to sleep, it's good for what it costs. The internet was quite slow, which was the one letdown. Breakfast was simple but tasty. I'd give it 7 out of 10.

No air conditioning, a cracked toilet seat, and a bad shower that dripped constantly. The bed was soft but old, and the mattress was covered in little bumps. Pigeons kept making noise the whole time. Breakfast had no cheese, and the attendants were in bad moods.

Worst place I've ever stayed. It was filthy and smelled awful, and the room was terrible. The bathroom was covered in mold, the bed was falling apart, the fan was filthy, and the door was broken.

This is the best place to stay in Campinas if you don't need anything fancy. The rooms are simple but spotless, and the reception is fully staffed 24 hours a day. Even when the entrance door is shut, you can call or arrange ahead to get in. Security is a 10, with outside cameras and automatic police notification. The location is great too, with a bus stop on the avenue in front or on the side streets. The owners are always renovating and trying to serve their guests better. When I'm in Campinas, I only stay here. Cecília...
