Pousada Via Campos

The breakfast was really good. When they didn’t have orange juice, I just asked and they made some fresh. I enjoyed it! The location is perfect, which is what matters most to me. Room sizes vary: last time I had a big room with a balcony, but this time I was put in a small one with a tiny bathroom. That was fine by me.

The staff were polite, and the hotel is good and in a great location. Still, a lot of rooms have rugs, and some bathrooms have unfinished brick that collects dust and mold. It set off my allergic rhinitis, even though they moved us to another room when we asked. Breakfast was pretty weak too. Some days there was no French bread, although they did have other kinds of bread.

The inn’s location is great, but our room was so noisy that sleeping was out of the question. There’s some kind of exhaust hood from the restaurant attached to the bedroom wall. Whenever it’s switched on, the window and glass panes shake, and the noise is awful. I called reception to complain and they paid no attention. I won’t be back, and I definitely can’t recommend this inn.

I wouldn’t choose the suite facing the street, since live music from the nearby bars makes it hard to fall asleep. The bed was very comfortable, the towels smelled nice, and the room was cleaned really well. Breakfast was good quality, and the location is excellent, just a few steps from Baden Baden.
