The setting is incredible, especially out on the water when the light is just right. Roberto and Katia were wonderful hosts. I came here with my son seven years ago, and we still remember the place. We love it so much.

Breakfast is generous, fresh, and complete, with birds and butterflies for company. Lagamar Ecohotel is cozy, and the team is always so kind. We’ve been back several times and love it. It sits at the foot of the area’s most beautiful mountain, on the waterfall route and near Quilombo do Mandira, where you can stop for the best pastry in the region and a taste of local culture. Make some time to enjoy the hotel itself: swing at Trilha da Figueira, paddle a kayak on the lake, take a clay bath, build a fire, or read a book or play an instrument from reception. Soak up the Atlantic Forest. Just go, it’s worth it!

Dinner was fantastic, really well made and seasoned. Our room was clean, and Renata greeted us so politely. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot surrounded by nature. I’ll definitely return.
