Chale dos Alpes

The bed was extremely noisy and uncomfortable, and the chalet felt very cold even when it was sunny. There’s also a lot of street noise since it’s right beside the road. The place is very small. For a short stay it’s okay, but when we arrived we didn’t know how to get in and I had to call to find out where the key was. When we left, nobody was there to take it.

A simple, cozy place with good facilities. It could use some improvements, though, like regular maintenance and cleaning to prevent unpleasant issues for guests, such as the sewer smell.

We booked two nights for seven people, but when we arrived at night, the sofa bed sheets and pillows weren’t ready and a mattress was missing. I had to make the beds myself. The photos also don’t show what the place is really worth. When I asked to add a third night, they quoted a price higher than the one we’d agreed on.

The owner and family were very attentive, and the price was good. It’s a really cozy place.
