Hostel Scheckinah

We booked at scheckinah 1 but were put in scheckinah 2, which was terrible. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet was clogged, and nothing was done about it. The room was dirty too, with a broken tile over a pipe that let out a horrible sewage smell. It was so hot in the room, and there was no air conditioning, so we could barely sleep. We had to move to another hotel to keep our trip from being ruined. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.🤢😡

The place was extremely dirty and unhealthy, and we couldn’t stay there. The bed linen was dirty, and the sheet had a hole in it. There was nowhere suitable to put our clothes, and the rooms had no closet, chair, table, or anything like that. We asked to cancel but weren’t refunded. I took several photos so I could pursue a legal claim.

The location was good, but unfortunately the room and bathroom we got weren’t clean when I visited. There was hair, dust, and bits of paper on the floor. They also don’t serve breakfast.

The event was canceled as the pandemic worsened, so we asked to get back the 240 reais we had paid by bank deposit for our stay on 28 to 29/03/2020. We had made that booking a year earlier and never used the service. Since then, the refund still hasn't come. They read our messages and leave them unanswered, while holding money that isn't theirs. These are difficult times for us too, and we need that money back. We would have been willing to change the dates if the event had gone ahead, but it was canceled, so we want a refund. What does it say about a business to keep money that belongs to someone else? It's deplorable that I may have to contact SERASA when simple honesty would settle this.
