Jangal das Araucárias Swan Design Hotel Canela

The staff made the biggest impression on me. Everyone was genuinely kind, polite and fantastic at their jobs. The spaces are lovely, with outdoor spots behind the hotel where you can relax, have chimarrão and enjoy a fire pit. There's also a covered heated pool, and the restaurant is REALLY good. It's handy to eat there and enjoy a glass of wine without worrying about driving afterward. We were welcomed with sparkling wine at check-in, and there were little treats on the bed along with a handwritten note. So sweet. At checkout, we got a travel kit too. I loved it!

It's a small hotel, but there's plenty to enjoy, including a gym, pool and an area for evening fires. We were warmly welcomed by attentive, helpful staff, offered a glass of sparkling wine and shown around the hotel. Our room was very nice, warm inside and neatly arranged with lots of thoughtful details. It also had a small balcony with chairs for sitting and chatting, though it was too cold for us to use it. There's covered parking below the hotel, or you can park out front. Breakfast was tasty, well organized and had lots of food and fruit options. I recommend staying here.

Canela's calmer, more welcoming feel compared with busy Gramado made the stay even more special. We had an impeccable time at Jangal das Araucárias, thanks in large part to the whole team. From arrival onward, everyone was attentive, warm and clearly prepared to make guests comfortable. Our room was spacious, with quality furniture and careful attention to detail. Everything worked perfectly, and it felt comfortable and peaceful throughout the stay. The room was cleaned and tidied immaculately every day, with care and discretion by the kind, thoughtful housekeepers. The restaurant deserves special praise. Breakfast, dinner and everything in between were well prepared, beautifully presented, delicious and served with care. That consistency came through in every meal. The shared spaces added a lot too: a heated pool, cozy rooms with fireplaces, a reading room and outdoor fire pits that felt especially inviting on cold Serra nights. They even offered marshmallows by the fire, a small touch that made the evenings memorable. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for the hospitality and professionalism. It's rare to find such a good balance of facilities, food, comfort and service. We hope to return soon and hope you keep up this admirable quality.

The reading room and the outdoor area with a fireplace were my favorite spots. I went with my husband to unwind, and the hotel made it very easy to stay put. Our room was excellent, and the shared spaces had such distinctive decor. Breakfast was full of quality items, too. The thoughtful welcome, kind messages, and little farewell kit made the stay feel especially personal. We’ll definitely be back.
