It’s a family-run place, and you feel very welcome there. The service is excellent, and you can enjoy a comforting afternoon tea. The apartments have individual themes and are carefully decorated, giving the whole place a very pleasant feel. The inn is cozy and in a great location. Breakfast is generous, thoughtful, and tasty. I highly recommend it.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty of food and ingredients that tasted exceptionally good. It was my first day there and the spread was already generous. The place feels warm and welcoming, and the owners clearly care about their guests' comfort. The themed rooms are nicely sized too. Highly recommended.

I felt right at home during my stay at pier 704. It's a charming place, and both the hospitality and service were excellent. Breakfast was magnificent, with lots of options, and I really loved it. A lovely spot to relax and enjoy time with family.

The breakfast is one of the best things about Pier 704. Served from 9 to 11 each day in the area that used to be a well-known Canela pub, it includes plenty of regional products and tasty things made in the inn's own kitchen. The menu changes daily, and the fresh, sweet fruit was excellent. Try the eggs made to order. They can also adapt the menu if you let the staff know about dietary restrictions in advance. We stayed in the Mexican Suite, one of just five individually decorated rooms, alongside the Copacabana, French, Porteña, and British suites. At about 29 square meters, ours was comfortable, with a queen bed, a 32-inch TV with subscription channels, split heating and air conditioning, storage with hangers and drawers, and a small safe for cash and documents. We were on the second floor, and the nights were very quiet, with no outside noise. The hammock in the suite was wonderfully relaxing. Pier 704 sits among araucaria trees, about 1.5 km from central Canela and 7 km from Gramado, roughly a ten-minute drive. We liked this part of town for the easy travel, the calm, and the feeling of being close to nature. The building has a rustic brick exterior, while inside it's cozy and full of art. The inn focuses on charming design, like a boutique hotel. There's free covered parking, and the staff offer valet service. Out back, there's a green area for sunbathing or playing with kids. After a day walking around the sights, we liked the idea of settling into the room with a movie and popcorn made fresh by the kitchen. For a slower visit, the place is also good for reading and taking in the surroundings. Our stay felt restorative, and being among loved ones in the araucaria forest made our time in Serra Gaúcha even better. We recommend it to all kinds of guests, especially couples.
