The place left a lot to be desired. I was treated well, and the owners seem like good people, but plenty of things were disappointing. For an overnight stop, the inn is clean and breakfast is good. If you're visiting the area and have another place to stay, I'd choose that instead. The rooms and suites are cramped, as is the whole inn, so there isn't much sense of privacy. A lot of things seem poorly maintained: stains across the ceiling, peeling paint on the window, doors that don't close properly, somewhat old comforters, and floors and a gate that creak. The water setup is odd, maybe a pump or something, and it makes a loud noise whenever anyone uses water. The shower is electric, and with what seems to be a water supply issue, it can get very hot and then suddenly turn cold.

The place is tiny, and privacy is limited. It could work if you're only staying briefly, but we were there for 4 nights and the location wasn't great either. I don't know how the water system works, but it makes a really annoying noise at night. The shower swings between too hot and too cold, and there's no hot water at the taps, which Canela's cold weather really calls for. The rooms and the shared space are both quite small. According to the rules, the rooms were supposed to be tidied in the morning, but that didn't happen any day of our stay.

Breakfast was good, but we stayed in a room by the entrance and could hear everything because the soundproofing was so poor. A carpet in that area might help. The room was cold because there was a gap in the window. They don't provide shampoo, conditioner, or soap.

The staff were excellent and the facilities were good. Getting around central Canela on foot isn't so convenient from here. We also had to sleep with the comforter directly against us because there was no top sheet, which felt a bit unhygienic to us.

A small but really cozy place, and the people looking after the inn are lovely. Breakfast was very good too. It's a great choice for a short stay, and I recommend it.
