Pretty much the only hotel in town.
Fine.
Nice.
Great.
We were tired after the long drive back from Punta del Este, and this simple hotel, in keeping with the area, worked out well for us. The room was clean, and the double room was surprisingly spacious, with an extra single bed too. Robson welcomed us warmly and even helped carry our bags to room 207 on the second floor. There’s an elevator and a garage for parking, though it’s about 50 meters from the hotel, so unloading first makes sense. The room also had an empty minibar where I could put a few things I’d brought from Punta. The shower was powerful and relaxing, with gas heating that got even hotter than needed. Breakfast had the essentials, fruit, bread, cold cuts, and yogurt, all fresh and good quality. The service was impeccable, everyone was kind and polite. We only stayed one night, but we were happy with it. We arrived hungry, though, and there was no restaurant at the hotel. Since it was Sunday night, all the town’s restaurants were closed.
