Hotel Diplomata

I wouldn't hesitate to come back. The place is well located, and the breakfast is decent for an affordable hotel. I own a hotel back home, so I have a pretty good sense of what matters: a clean room, a comfortable bed, good WiFi, and helpful service. They got those right here. For budget-conscious travelers, I couldn't fault it. Possibly the best value I've had in a hotel.

The room was dusty, dirty, and looked neglected, and I found cockroaches in it. What they called a double bed was two single beds pushed together, which made for a very uncomfortable night. The air conditioning didn't work, so the heat made the stay unbearable. Even the old, tiny elevator only fits one person with a backpack at a time. I definitely don't recommend this hotel.

The location is handy for the beach, supermarkets, bus stops, and plenty of restaurants, including McDonalds. My room and bathroom were very good, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. One inconvenience is the nearby tunnel road: there isn't a pedestrian crossing right outside the hotel, so you have to walk farther to reach the next one.

The breakfast was generous and had lots of variety, and the rooms were comfortable, with a big bed and shower. The staff were extremely nice, and the hotel is very close to the beach. There is traffic noise from the busy road nearby, though, and tiny bugs were all over the room. They didn't bite, but it didn't seem clean.
