Really good.

The staff made the stay especially nice. A woman who helped us was attentive from the moment we arrived until we left, though I didn't catch her name. We were in room 112 for one night while passing through for work. It was huge, with two regular-sized double beds, and everything was very clean. The bathroom stood out: the shower enclosure could fit about six people. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The indoor parking area is small and quite steep. I didn't use the pool or games area during our short stay. The pool looked clean, and the towels, blanket, and bedding in our room smelled fresh. I saw older complaints about staff manners, linens, and pool cleanliness, but those seemed to have improved. It's worth looking at when reviews were written and comparing them with recent ones to see whether a place is responding to feedback. This one seems to care about making things better. I'd come back with my kids if I get the chance.

Good morning. I'm Fátima Bento F.tour, and I organize group trips. I stayed with a group at Pousada Califórnia Capitólio over the November 15, 2024 holiday weekend, and the service was a real disappointment. I do not recommend this place. The rooms themselves were good, but none were cleaned during our three-day stay. Trash bins stayed full, bathrooms were left wet, and some rooms were missing bath towels until we asked for them. It was rainy, so we requested blankets, only to be told we'd have to pay a rental fee. At breakfast, the food was very basic and the allotted time was one hour, while other places usually allow at least two. Our host, Kamila Tavares Mourão Oliveira, wasn't there to receive the group. When she arrived, she didn't introduce herself, and seemed indifferent when my clients asked for information. At checkout she was just as unwelcoming, without thanking us or apologizing for how things had gone. The worst exchange was when a client asked for a toilet roll and she offered a dusty, nearly finished used one. I went to speak with her myself. She insisted it was fine, said she wasn't obliged to know how much paper was on a roll, and that when its five meters ran out she could give us another. Her dismissive response finally made me lose patience.

The staff at Pousada were friendly and helpful, including with booking tours. Kamila, thanks for everything! The location worked really well for the Aquamundo open water event, just 3 km from the entrance. There's also a shop selling local cheeses and sweets right beside it. We had a small issue with the room light when we arrived, but it was fixed. The internet didn't work, apparently because so many athletes were in town. Parking is available, though the ramp access is a bit difficult.
