Casas do San Caraíva - Turma

The Casas do San made our 15 days in Caraíva really worthwhile. San and Ana were very attentive, and the range of homes and suites, with different setups, meant we could find something that suited our group. It offers a good value stay that exceeded our expectations, whether traveling alone, as a couple, or with a group. The guest-house setup feels natural, somewhere between an inn and a rental home. Almost all the options have a kitchen, which makes it easier to plan a stay in the village. There’s a well-stocked market across from the houses, so you can cook and save money. Eating out in Caraíva is relatively expensive, and planning ahead makes it easier to enjoy the better restaurants, nightlife, beach snacks, and other things to do. The houses are in central Caraíva, handy for the beach, restaurants, tours, and nightlife. The houses and suites come with cotton sheets, a warm blanket, bath linens, cleaning every other day, and mineral water for guests. They’re tastefully put together and comfortable for couples or groups. It’s also a good option for anyone who works online or needs to stay connected. The internet is 10 Mb, among the fastest and best performing in the village, thanks to its location near the town antenna and wired connections.

We stayed in the “Charmosinha” and had a good experience. The suite was very clean and the shower was nice and hot. The internet service was the letdown: there was some kind of problem and we lost the signal. Since it was our only way to communicate, it affected our stay.

The cleaning was impeccable, and San was helpful. I stayed in the Charmosinha suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. It felt private and came with full cable TV, a minibar, and air conditioning. I’d happily return, and I recommend Caraíva as a destination. It’s unique.

Santiago and his wife, the hosts, were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. The place felt so cozy, and the location was great. The room, kitchen, and house were all well equipped with things and utensils that seemed quite new and well kept. We definitely recommend it!
