Pousada Jeito Bom de Viver

The location in NOVA CARAÍVA made getting there easy by car, bus, taxi, transfer, or motorcycle, and saved us the R$60,00 per bag charged to take luggage to inns in Vila de Caraíva. The canoe crossing into the village starts about 400 meters from POUSADA JEITO BOM DE VIVER. We stayed a week, and it was the best place I’ve ever stayed. It felt like being in someone’s backyard, in the nicest way. The breakfast was wonderful, and our room had a large, practical bathroom that was always clean. João makes the cakes and other breakfast treats, with Adriana making fantastic yellow cuzcuz. But what really stayed with me was how attentive and caring João and Adriana were. They made us feel like family, while remaining completely professional. Every cent of the stay was worth it. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

The inn was spotless and really well organized, and breakfast was delicious. Seu João and Adriana were such lovely hosts. Nina is our little favorite, too, haha. I’d absolutely recommend the place and come back.

The attention to detail went beyond anything we expected. Everything worked perfectly, and the place felt so welcoming that I doubt a pricier or fancier inn could have made my wife and me feel more at home. We’d gladly return and recommend it to anyone heading to Caraivas. Thanks to João, Adriana, and their lovely dogs, Sheera and Nina.

We had a lovely time by the pool and got great suggestions for outings, shopping, bars, and restaurants. João and Adriana, the owners, were so welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. It’s in Nova Caraíva, but the value felt worth it, with one of the crossings to Caraíva just a five-minute walk away. The area was really peaceful and quiet even in high season. We’re so glad we met such a lovely couple. Thanks for all the kindness, Adriana and João!
