Vila Auê Suites

The location was good, and the room had been renovated with nice decor. The internet worked, towels and blankets were provided when we arrived, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast tasted great, especially the delicious cartola I tried. Still, we spent days without sleeping properly and showering in dirty water. There was no sound insulation. That might not have mattered in a quiet place like Caraíva, except construction started right in front of the inn around 6 in the morning for several days. We asked them to begin after 9, but nothing changed. It got worse, with shouting as well as pounding stakes. The inn did nothing. They said they had spoken to the people in charge of the work, but the next day was worse. It seemed we were the only guests, so maybe it didn't matter to them. The tap water was orange and muddy, which felt unpleasant for showering and brushing our teeth, and it stained the towels. At first they said the rain was making the artesian well water muddy, but other people staying in Caraíva weren't dealing with anything similar. We left towels on the floor to be changed, and they simply hung them back up. Earlier we'd left them on the rack, and even though they were dirty from the water's color, they still weren't replaced. When we arrived, nobody was there to welcome us. There was no cell signal except VIVO, and we didn't yet have the Wi-Fi password, so trying to get hold of them as it got dark was a real struggle.
