We celebrated 34 years since graduating from the Minas police academy here, and everyone loved the place. It’s a lovely pousada by the Furnas reservoir, with great food and beautiful peacocks around. The staff were perfect, and it was a great spot to relax with family. I recommend it.

There’s plenty to do by Furnas Lake, including fishing and using the barbecue grills, and there are three pools. The place is beautiful. The rooms are basic but have air conditioning, and the restaurant serves lunch.

The breakfast is simple but delicious, and there are lots of peacocks wandering close by. It’s a great pousada if you want peace and nature. The dirt road to get there is passable. There’s no internet, though, and cell reception is poor.

The homemade food is really good, and the service is a thousand out of a thousand. It’s a welcoming place and wonderful for relaxing with friends or family. I highly recommend it.

I’ve stayed at Estância several times and liked the accommodation and good service. But they shouldn’t advertise free Wi-Fi because there isn’t any. I mention it because lots of people would like to bring children, and technology is a big part of life these days.
