Pousada Belo Sono

The room went without power during the night, but the staff sorted it out right away. The breakfast was generous, though there wasn’t much variety. The rooms themselves are extremely basic. The old air conditioner made some noise, had no remote, and couldn’t be set to a particular temperature. I checked my phone in the early hours, and it showed 23°C.

The room setup was poor. The shower and water dispenser both had weak water flow, and the air conditioner barely cooled. My room was dim, with only a tiny window. The bathroom window opened into the room, so the bad smell from the bathroom came through. The towel they gave me was torn, and I saw cockroaches several times. They urgently need pest control.

Sr. Noé’s service is what sets this place apart. I’ll be back!

The prices are reasonable, the location is great, and everyone was very kind. If you’re exploring on your own, the owner explains the tours, and they can also put you in touch with a guide if you need one.
