Pousada Tartaruga Cumbuco

We had a really unpleasant stay and left early because the way we were treated made us uncomfortable. We booked at the last minute and let them know ahead of time that we'd arrive at night. When we got there, the person handling check-in was extremely rude, telling us we couldn't make “noise” and even threatening to call security while we were just talking as we went up the stairs. The response was completely unnecessary. After reading other reviews, I saw this apparently wasn't the first time something like this had happened. We definitely wouldn't recommend the place or stay again. If guests aren't allowed to talk after 10 pm, then they shouldn't allow check-ins at that hour.

The owner was friendly and welcoming, and the feeling of freedom around the inn was really nice. I went with my wife and friends, and we enjoyed it a lot. It's simple but cozy, and very close to downtown Cumbuco. Just don't expect a five-star inn, and you'll be satisfied.

We left the next day completely dissatisfied. From the moment we arrived, the service felt rude and disrespectful. We'd told them we'd be getting in at night, but were harshly reprimanded while simply talking. The person handling check-in threatened to call security for no good reason. I can't recommend this inn.

The reception was so hostile that the employee treated us like a nuisance just for talking normally when we arrived. Threatening to call security was the height of disrespect. I'm very disappointed with the service and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who cares about being treated well.
