Top hotel.

The location made our afternoons: the hotel is attached to a beach club, and the lagoon next door was a real highlight, especially for kitesurfing or wing surfing. Our room was huge and very comfortable, with lovely smelling bedding and big, soft towels. The pools, indoors and out, and the sauna were great for relaxing, and I loved the fully equipped gym, with modern treadmills and a good range of weights. The whole team was warm and helpful. Tia Valente and Tia Mel kept my 8-year-old son entertained and made lasting memories for him. Shoâyane at the pool bar was quick and friendly, Celida at reception made us feel welcome and handled things efficiently, and the two evening waiters were very attentive. Really, the whole staff deserves a 1000! Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices. It might be smoother if basics like coffee, juice, bread, and butter were laid out buffet style, while the other items stayed à la carte. We were completely charmed by Vila Galé Sunset Collection Cumbuco. It exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommend it!

The hotel has a lot of potential, and we enjoyed our stay despite a few service snags. Our room had a sofa and was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The facilities are nice, though the gym is small and has limited equipment. It works well for kids, with a good wet play area. The beach is rough, but there’s also a river nearby that could be put to good use. Service is the main thing that needs work. Breakfast had long lines, items weren’t replenished, and the staff seemed inexperienced and disorganized. It felt like many were new and needed more training and speed. It took almost 30 minutes to get an omelet. Pool service was confusing too, with orders getting mixed up; taking a signature when handing over drinks could prevent awkwardness when settling the bill. I also found it strange that reception shares a space with the restaurant. The smell of food in that area was unpleasant, and with so much room available, reception and the bar could be separate. Maybe staffing is low in the quieter season and they bring in new people for busy periods without enough training, which affects service. These things happened, but we were there to enjoy ourselves and didn’t let them ruin the trip. Better service could lift the hotel’s rating. For now, I’d give it 4 out of 5.

We paid around R$ 1,700 a night for a place presenting itself as a luxury hotel, but the experience fell far short. They never told us that the hotel had a third-party nightclub, Mira Beach Club, operating on site. I was there with my two young children, aged 5 and 7, and the noise was so loud that the walls and room structures were literally shaking past midnight. We complained repeatedly, but it carried on. The next day, worn out, especially the kids, my wife wanted to leave. I politely asked reception if we could check out early and get a refund for the unused night. They refused and offered only a room change. I asked to move as far from the Beach Club as possible. All day they kept saying the room wasn’t ready. By the end of the day, worried about another night of deafening noise, they moved us into a room that was even worse. There were other problems as well: the bungalows weren’t cleaned properly, staff seemed poorly trained and gave conflicting information about the restaurant, hours, and services, and the service was confusing and unhelpful. Terrible value for money. For a hotel claiming to be high-end, this was extremely frustrating, especially for a family with kids. I don’t recommend it.
