The sea view and location really are lovely, but that’s where the good part ended. We booked a private room with a sea view, at a price in line with other hotels nearby, and everything else was disappointing. The bar was closed in the morning, with no nearby alternative for coffee or breakfast. We had to walk 10 minutes to the supermarket. The bar is listed as a service on booking, so advertising it while it’s closed felt like a straightforward scam. They also painted the outside wall of our room during our stay, and the strong smell of paint inside was really annoying. The staff seemed like they’d rather be anywhere else, and it showed. There’s still a lot to improve if they want to cater to international guests.

The cocktail was mostly ice and tasted very watered down. We waited about 10 minutes for one drink, and they wanted payment before serving anything. The 1 for 2 offer was advertised, but the waiter said that wasn't how it worked. The neighborhood felt a bit rough, too.

The kitchen and living area were clean and tidy, and having the bathroom outside was a real plus. But I saw cockroaches in the room, bathroom, and toilet every morning I stayed. The AC in my room also wasn't working very well.

The beach is beautiful, the DJs are great, and the rooms are comfortable with privacy curtains. I spent a month here and really enjoyed hanging out with everyone who works and volunteers at the hostel. The vibe is the best on the island. See you next year 😉

The terrace looks out over the beach, and the hostel has a relaxed feel, nice music, and neat decor. Service was great. The barman was away, so there were no cocktails, but I appreciated them telling us upfront instead of serving substandard ones. The guy kindly walked us through the beers and wine, and the range of Colarado beers was delicious!
