Chácara Lápis Lazúli

After long walks and waterfall hikes, Chacara Lapis Lazuli was a great place to unwind. The sunset was a special treat, one of the prettiest I've seen. We stayed in room Jade, which had everything we needed, including a small kitchen. The whole place was clean and well cared for, with fruit trees throughout the yard. Lucas was lovely to talk with and shared lots of local tips. Our stay was simply perfect.

The stay is about 3 km from town, so it’s quiet and peaceful. There’s parking, shared areas with a basin for washing small items and a drying rack, and the host lives next door and is very helpful. The bathroom is roomy and the shower is good. They provide linens and bath towels, plus kitchen utensils, a two-burner stove, and a minibar. There’s no daily room cleaning, so you need to contact the host when you want fresh towels or the trash taken out. They responded promptly when we asked, but it still felt a little uncomfortable, like we were bothering them. Power also fluctuates quite a bit on rainy days. A hair dryer would be useful, since there isn’t one available.

The chalets are well equipped for making breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the rooms and bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. The whole property feels thoughtfully arranged and cared for. It’s a bit outside Cavalcante, about a 13-minute trip to the center, and pets are welcome. I stayed there at the end of April and beginning of May 2023.

Chácara Lápis Lazuli is a real source of pride for Associação Veadeiros and a standout in Cavalcante. Its intimate, carefully prepared accommodations are matched by a real commitment to the local community and environment.
