We felt safe and very welcome at Pousada Tapuios. The room was well equipped, the bed was very comfortable, and they left complimentary water. Breakfast was fresh and special, brought to our door with care because of the pandemic. Sr. Alencar, the owner, greeted us warmly, showed us around, and shared contacts for good local service providers, especially waterfall tours and great restaurants. Excellent value for money.

The owners are a big part of what makes Tapuio so special. D. Maria’s homemade curd and the carefully chosen breakfast treats were lovely, and Alencar told wonderful stories. You can see how much he cares about everyone he welcomes. The small hotel brings guests together in a friendly atmosphere, and the rooms feel homey, with clean, pleasant surroundings and bedding and towels that smell of fabric softener. One thing’s certain, you’ll fall in love with the place and want to come back.

The quiet is wonderful, with birdsong all around. I opened the window in the morning and could smell the woods. The room was spotless, the sheets were lovely and fresh, and everything felt cozy. Sr Alencar gave us a wonderful welcome, too. The cerrado’s natural beauty is still preserved here. And breakfast! Fruit, honey, fresh juice, corn cake, cheese, homemade curd with a texture unlike any I’d tried, and cereals. A little paradise, absolutely recommend it!

The room was spacious and comfortable when we stayed here over the October 12 holiday. Sr. Alencar was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Breakfast was generous and made for a pleasant chance to get to know the other guests. A great experience!

I loved staying at the Pousada. It’s such a peaceful, lovely place to rest and get away from the daily chaos. Big hugs to everyone on the staff, they were wonderful! Congratulations, Alencar.
