I came through Caxambu by bicycle and found this hostel. It’s simple and cozy, quiet and peaceful, with birdsong in the morning. The location is great, very close to the city center, and the host Fafa is lovely and laid-back.

My wife and I spent two nights in the lovely Minas Gerais city of Caxambu MG, staying at Hostel meu Cantinho run by the friendly Fátima, known as Fafá. We’re grateful for the warm welcome we received.

I’m not great with words, haha. I arrived in Caxambu MG on a Sunday without knowing where to go. I thought about taking a taxi to the neighboring city, but the driver saw me stranded at the bus station, with no more buses to my destination that day and it already getting late. He helped me find somewhere to stay and recommended the famous [ HOSTEL MEU CANTINHO ] right here in Caxambu. That’s where I met the owner, Fátima, better known as fafá. She’s so friendly, polite to everyone, and has a huge heart. The place was clean, airy, and clearly kept hygienic. She’s also a tour guide, and on top of welcoming you with love, care, and respect, she does everything she can for your comfort. I loved meeting you and your work, dona Fátima. My family and I will definitely come back many times. Thank you so much!
