Dona Janete’s sweets were amazing, and her warmth made her feel like a second mom. João Paulo was a friendly guy with an easy smile, though he had gone to work and missed the farewell photo. We felt at home even as guests, and got all the attention and information we needed, along with an honest price. I loved the place and every day we spent there. I highly recommend it for the hospitality and Dona Janete’s magical touch with desserts.

It’s a little outside the center, but if you have a car it takes less than five minutes. At Cantinho da Janete, I felt right at home. The breakfast she made was always really good, and she’s such a welcoming person. I’ll definitely stay there again next time I’m back in chapada.

The room at Pousada da janete was lovely, and breakfast was wonderful. The hostess was very polite, and everything was clean and smelled fresh. There’s rosemary all around the inn, so you fall asleep with that lovely scent and feel like you’re in heaven.

A really cozy, family-style inn. Dona Janete and her son João, who’s a tour guide, were very attentive.
