The rooms are new and comfortable, with a very soft bed. We only stayed overnight and chose not to have breakfast there, and the value for money was excellent. The owner, though, made things uncomfortable. She seemed very distrustful and intrusive, and the whole conversation felt awkward despite being brief. She demanded full payment in advance, took the room key from my boyfriend’s hand, and only returned it after we paid. The place was also a little hard to find because she doesn’t put up a sign, saying she wants to avoid people knocking to ask about vacancies. She seemed confused and repeated all the information several times. She told us to contact her only until 8 p.m., since she went to bed early and wouldn’t wake until the next morning. I can completely understand the complaints in the other reviews.

The stay was pleasant. The place felt cozy and peaceful.

Birds sang all day in a wonderfully peaceful harmony, and the whole place was beautiful, well finished, and comfortable. The sheets and towels smelled fresh, there was a hot shower, TV, internet, and air conditioning, though I didn’t need to use it when I visited. Tamara welcomed me with lots of attention and warmth, and later senhora Patrícia gave me precise, good tips for places to visit and restaurants. It felt like paradise and had the best price and quality in Chapada dos Guimarães. I’m disappointed in the people who rate this place poorly. Anyone who doesn’t like a place like this or the people who welcome you should tune into empathy and goodness, and they’ll find peace and an incredible experience here. May Christ, in His infinite mercy and love, bless them.

Don’t stay here. After I made and confirmed a reservation through Booking, the owner messaged me demanding a higher price than the advertised rate, saying the listed amount was wrong because it was a holiday, even though she had posted it herself. When I refused and asked her to honor the listing, she sent hostile messages and threatened to cancel through the platform unless I paid more. She also wanted 50% upfront without giving any deadline, and said she wouldn’t accept credit cards, which also contradicted the listing. Booking had to step in and kept the reservation at the advertised price, since I was in the right. But the owner was so rude and unprepared to deal with guests, and even suggested my stay would be “embarrassing,” that I canceled and looked for somewhere I’d be treated with respect. I wanted to avoid an unpleasant experience. She then mocked me, saying I needed “spiritual work,” just because I expected her to follow the conditions she had published.
