Splendore Hotel

The hotel staff were warm and attentive. There’s renovation work going on, but I didn’t notice it causing any disruption.

The place is good, though the renovation work does cause some inconvenience. Aside from that, it’s a decent hotel.

I found a brown spider in the first room, then a tree frog in the shower stall in the second. The hotel urgently needs pest control and cleaning. Those problems made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe, and I couldn’t leave my suitcase open or my everyday products out.

The hotel’s facilities looked great, which is why I chose to stay there on 09/04, but the stay never happened. It turned into a horrible experience when the owner, GUSTAVO, canceled my booking because he said he couldn’t reach me by phone to confirm it. I had already confirmed the reservation myself more than two weeks earlier, on 23/03. If he really couldn’t get through by phone, he could have sent a WhatsApp message or email, since I can’t always answer calls. I traveled from BH to Conceição, only to be told at hotel splendore that my reservation had been canceled. Then an upset woman, the owner’s mother, took issue with my complaint and literally yelled at me at reception. The poor reservation management, service, and lack of respect for customers made the hotel not worth staying at, no matter how good the facilities are.
