Pousada Beach House Coqueirinho

I’m Brazilian, from Fortaleza CE, but I’ve been living overseas for a few years. I always return to Brazil for its magical places and beautiful people, but my stay at Pousada Beach House Coqueirinho was an extremely bad experience. I booked two nights through booking.com and checked in on the 30th October. On arrival, there was a strong sewage smell. I paid the full price at reception, over R$800,00, but the room didn’t have enough towels and had only half a roll of toilet paper. None of the TVs in the three rooms worked. Mobile signal was little to none, there was no working internet in the room, and the front door had collapsed. Sewage was constantly leaking under a carpet right by the door. After dealing with all that with my family, I didn’t want to stay there. They offered us other rooms, but those were inferior and just as bad or worse. I only wanted to leave and go to the next beach. The fridge was incomplete too, so I’d advise future visitors to check it. At 6am, buggies drove by playing extremely loud music. Management still refused to reimburse us despite all these problems. They suggested I lie to booking.com and say I’d never checked in so they could reimburse me. They also said they wouldn’t lose money. I told them I’d already lost a lot because I didn’t get what I’d paid for as advertised. They marked on booking.com that I hadn’t checked in, even though I did, and unfortunately stayed for two nights. They still refused to reimburse me. I don’t recommend this accommodation.
